  College Dollars is a website that helps match students with financial aid to help pay college expenses. College Dollars uses specific criteria, entered by the student, to find the best scholarships available.

What kind of financial aid is available?
  College Dollars includes listings for scholarships, grants, tuition waivers, loans, fellowships, and internships. It also provides information about schools with innovative work-study programs that allow students to attend for free.

Does College Dollars have the same scholarship listings as the other sites?
  No. Many online scholarship searches just subscribe to the Wintergreen Orchard House scholarship database, and update their records from that database once a year. Others license the Peterson's scholarship database. That means that there are many scholarship searches that have the exact same scholarship listings. College Dollars contacts scholarship providers if we have any questions concerning their scholarships. We verify that the provider's information is valid. We enter scholarship information into the College Dollars database, rather than subscribing to a service that does it for us once a year. We regularly update the database to ensure its accuracy. All of these measures set College Dollars apart from the rest, and help ensure that College Dollars has the latest, most accurate scholarship information.

I entered my information into College Dollars. Do I still need to submit applications to financial aid providers?
  Yes. College Dollars does not apply for any financial aid for you. It provides you with a list of financial aid providers, explains the requirements for that financial aid, and provides application instructions.

What if a characteristic that makes me unique is not included in the College Dollars search options?
  Simple. Just email and ask us to include the missing option in your search. We will update the search options as soon as possible.

How can I be sure that the financial aid providers are legitimate?
  College Dollars regularly reviews lists of scholarship scams, and verifies the validity of the scholarships listed on this site. We can't guarantee that all providers are legitimate, but we can promise that we pay close attention to scholarship scams and take action to protect our subscribers.

Can I create a College Dollars match for my child?
  Yes. Just register as a student, and enter your child's information.

What if I my school does not enter local scholarships into College Dollars?
Students can still access College Dollars national data base of scholarships. Encourage your student counselors to register and enter local scholarships for students to view.

Who can enter a scholarship into College Dollars?
Schools, counselors, churches and other organizations that offer scholarships have the same privileges as a scholarship provider to enter scholarships. We do verify information entered is valid, before displaying it to students. Find more information about College Dollars here.
